Paul relocated to Devon 3 years ago and reduced his pace of life drastically after a busy career in the southeast. He is loving the coast and the new relaxed lifestyle with his family.
After leaving the armed forces as a Physical training instructor Paul went to university and qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist over 28 years ago. After 5 years in sport, he went on to gain a master’s degree in Sports medicine and a post graduate diploma in Rehabilitation.
Paul has worked in F1, football, rugby and was a British Olympic association senior physiotherapist at the Olympic medical institute, attending multiple Olympic games. He also advised sporting national governing bodies on rehabilitation strategies and was involved in a mentoring program for Physiotherapists in elite sport.
One career highlight for Paul was being sports reliefs charity senior Physio for 10 years involved in looking after celebrities such as David Walliams channel swim.
Paul is now a senior clinical teaching fellow at University College London, where he attained his post graduate teaching qualifications. After teaching on a specialisation MSc for Doctors and Physiotherapists wanting to work in elite sport for 12 years he now runs and delivers four modules on a intercalation course for junior Doctors and sports and exercise medicine BSc’s. students. Within these courses he also teaches imaging and is a qualified sonographer.
Paul loves going into London for 2 days a week and equally loves coming home to Devon.
